About Ms. Coco

Ms. Coco, the founder, director & instructor, studied for her B.A. in Dance at San Diego State University and began teaching dance to children in 1991. Having enjoyed a career as a professional modern dancer, she has performed at such venues as the Civic Theater, Lyceum Theater and the Old Globe Theater, while working with Malashock Dance and Company, Prowess Dance Arts, Jazz Unlimited, Jean Isaacs Trolley Dances and various independent choreographers. Ms. Coco has also choreographed and performed at the Museum of the Living Arts in Balboa Park, as well as the prestigious Spreckles Theater. She has also earned recognition from newspapers publications such as the Los Angeles Times, La Jolla Village News, Night & Day, San Diego Reader, San Diego Tribune and Dance Magazine USA & Canada, in addition to appearing on KPBS Television.

  

Ms. Coco has also studied Classical Guitar for over 15 Years and enjoys performing with the Mesa College Guitar Ensemble under the direction of George Svoboda. She also taught Dance and Drama to special needs children and the visually impaired at the Braille Institute for over 4 years.
